暮らしを通して出会う、小さな存在への眼差しを大切に木を彫っている。
1999年 東京造形大学彫刻科卒業後、美濃・豊場惺也氏に師事
1931年 三代目 尾野敏郎氏が民藝運動に参じ、民藝へ移行。
大きなガス窯と他の窯元と共同で管理している登り窯で作られている 池本窯の作品は、純度の高い磁土の色味や素朴さがあり、 磁器の清潔感、砥部焼ならではの丈夫さに加え、池本さん独特のおおらかさ、温かさが魅力です。
