Feather Gyotaku Black and Gold

Feather Gyotaku Black and GoldA simple feather collected from my garden which is full of wildlife including red squirrels, rabbits, pheasants and hedge hogs. I've always loved printing feathers they make a very effective print and are popular amongst my clients. This one is printed on Chinese Xuan paper and the backing paper is Japanese Masa paper. This A3 Gyotaku print features both an adult John Dory and a juvenile specimen

The small dory came for a local marine biologist and he had used the fish in a sampling experiment
