I have a soft spot for this wine as it was the first wine I bought a 12 bottle case of. (The 1983 vintage) 1996 vintage was very good for the Bordeaux region. A fine tannic structure for such a generous

Whilst it does not have the reputation of 1963 the 1970 vintage ports are excellent
