Frosty Morning, Cogges Manor FarmThis is an original oil painting of Cogges Manor Farm in Witney, Oxfordshire, painted during my artist residency. On this frosty morning, the sheep were out enjoying themselves and totally unconcerned about the shivering artist nearby! I loved the aspect of the manor house in the distance, with the sheep grazing on grass that looked nearly blue in the deep shadows of the field. Unframed size 30 cm (H) x 60 cm (W) x 5 cm (D) (approx 12 x 24 inches).

I found it quite freeing to work in this size

The breeze off the water was constantly ruffling the fields of flowers

The view was incredible

This painting is a fair bit larger than the size I typically work in en plein air

early morning study in oil of the Little White Pet roses in my garden

On one winter's day

I loved the way the subtle blush
