Acer Gyotaku on handmade Japanese Kozo Paper.I have a few Acer trees in the garden, I love the shape of the leaves on all of them. On a quiet day during the spring and summer I will often print them. Acer leaves, have a beautiful shape and lend themselves to this Art form. Printed using high quality permanent light, fast acrylic ink. The print measures approx 21x29cm, suitable for A4 framing. This print is framed in white and glazed

The print itself measures approx 35cm x 70cm  but with the mount the overall dimensions are 45cm x 79cm

The print is in my classic dark blue and gold inks

I use the same method of printing which means inking up the frond then pressing a lightweight paper over the frond

I've printed this on an A5 sheet of Chinese calligraphy paper using red and black ink

sadly they don't pick up when you try and print the fish so you have two options

this doesn't photograph brilliantly but there is something incredibly minimalist about this print
