George IV Silver Vinaigrette John Bettridge 1824This is a small size decorative silver vinaigrette with a decorative top. The top decoration centres around a rectangular cartouche which is unengraved. The back is much plainer with just a simple central engraved decoration which is in keeping with the period. The inside opens to reveal a plain and simple grille and a gilded interior. A lovely example of a miniature silver vinaigrette. Assay Office: Birmingham Maker: John Bettridge Date: 1824
