Constructed from multiple joined wood boards with original dark stained finish, showing extensive wear from long term use. The surface displays scratches, scuffs, edge wear, and areas of finish loss consistent with age and handling. The reverse shows reinforcing wood battens and original fasteners, along with a metal hanging loop

while the copyright page lists a date of 1897
