Satellite Moons

Satellite MoonsSatellite moons is based on gestalt design principles. It's created to be a visual representation of satellite moons with a parent planet set in space. The satellite moons are created with off white spheres. There are fine white lines representing space and a parent planet created by the use of a large circular black fill. R8 makes a perfect point of focus to a contemporary architectural space or modern room

The artists and designers sought to simplify the (complex) world into its most basic forms and colours (through art & design) that represent the true nature of it

De Stijl is considered abstract and uses visual reduction

It's created with a slightly neon aqua colour and uses circles with black fills and light strokes along with two aqua fills

The detailed lines overlaid on the centre squares cut a right angle through the pattern of the print

It can appeal to people with an interest in abstract work and/or geometric patterns

Contrasting negative and positive space is created through the use of sharp lines

The single pattern (as described above) is duplicated once and both are balanced by being placed at opposing ends of the landscape print

A large amount of time was spent with the alignment of the inner circles top & bottom black lines which were aligned perfectly horizontal with the two outer circles adjacent lines
