How To Train Your Dragon (live-action)

DreamWorks adapted the 2010 animated classic directed by Dean DeBlois starring Gerard Butler, Nico Parker and Nick Frost.

This debuted on June 13 in over 4000 theaters and grossed over $80 million domestically and over $190 million globally in its opening weekend.

Earning an ‘A’ from Cinemascore and 94% positive on PostTrak, it echoes the love the audience had for its original vibe. It now holds the fourth highest weekend opening of 2025.

Materialists

Celine Song directs the film, starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal and Zoe Winters, in which a matchmaker is stuck in between her match and her ex.

Launched June 13 through A24, its first weekend earnings were $12 million across 2000+ theaters. It has become A24’s third biggest opener.

Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning

Christopher McQuarrie directs The Final Reckoning which stars Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg. Despite its late debut in May, it still reached $166 million domestically by mid June.

Tom Cruise actually set a Guinness World Record performing 16 flaming parachute jumps whilst filming the movie.

Ballerina (John Wick spin-off)

As the first spin-off film connected to the John Wick franchise, Ballerina unfolds during the events of John Wick 3 – Parabellum. During this time a female assassin emerges trained in the tradition of the Ruska Roma.

Directed by Len Wiseman and starring Ana de Armas, Keanu Reaves, Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Norman Reedus, Lance Riddick and Ian McShane.

Final Destination: Bloodlines

Plagued by recurring violent nightmare, Stephanie, a college student after being returns home to find the one person who can save her and her family from inevitable demise.

Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein direct this horror film which stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Rya Kihlstedt and Richard Harmon.

Elio

Pixar’s latest animated film follows an 11 year old boy who is mistaken as Earth’s ambassador in an alien planet. It combines humor and heartfelt moments in its incredible storytelling.

Directed by Adrian Molina, Madeline Sharafian and Domee Shi, it stars Jonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldana and Brad Garrett.

F1: The Movie

The studio premiered it on the 16th of June at Radio City Music Hall in New York City and will release it in the United States on June 27 the weekend of the Austrian Grand Prix.

The story follows a Formula 1 driver who comes out of retirement to mentor and drive alongside a promising rookie.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, it stars Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies and Javier Bardem.

28 Years Later

The third installment of the 28 Days Later television series, it delves into the moral dilemmas and survival challenges of the new generation as the virus returns decades later.

Directed by Danny Boyle, it stars Jordie Corner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ralph Fiennes.

Thug Life

An Indian Tamil-language gangster directed by Mani Ratnam who also cowrote the script with Kamal Haasan.

The story follows a gang leader who adopts a boy after saving him during a gang war. However, he later survives an assassination attempt believed to have been orchestrated by the same boy.

All events of this movie explain a conflict of loyalty and revenge.

M3GAN 2.0

Scheduled to be released on the 27th of June, it is a sequel to its 2022 movie M3GAN.

The story follows M3GAN being rebuilt and upgraded to combat a new AI threat continuing the franchise’s bend of horror and sci-fi elements.
