A great collectable silver pencil from the George V era

Date: 1805

This is classic design of a caddy spoon with a scalloped bowl but the addition of the Prince of Wales Feathers as the handle

There is a very slight gap when the vinaigrette is fully closed

It has clear feature hallmarks around the edge

The grille has a slight compression on the opposite end to the hinge through being pressed closed over time - this is only really noticeable from certain angles and on close inspection and barely detracts from the overall effect and quality of the piece

The hinged lid opens to reveal a gilded interior

The hallmarks are good and clear although one vase has been struck twice

They have no notable damage and  no rubbing to the detail or holes in the silver which is common in these items

This silver vinaigrette is marked for Frederick Marson who was a renowned Silversmith of the period and particularly regarded for producing highly decorated

The hallmarks are a little rubbed
