Duo print of Menai Strait PrawnI picked up this prawn from my friend Andy in December, he was clearing down his bait tanks on the Menai and had pulled out half a dozen prawns and a pollock. He gifted me this little guy and he went in the freezer until I had some time after Christmas to get in the studio and print. I've printed the same prawn here twice, once from each side, onto an A4 sheet of Chinese calligraphy paper using and dark blue and gold ink. It takes a long time to

The wet mounting takes around 24 hours to dry and once it's done the print is then ready to frame

This process flattens the print back out so it is suitable for framing

For an additional fee I may be able to deliver if it's an address in the North West of the UK

We are lucky enough to have red squirrels in the woods too

In the printing process the paper gets stretched by the fish and isn't suitable to put in a frame

I use a very soft wide goat hair brush and can take all the creases and air bubbles out from the paper so it's completely flat

After the print is made it was then wet mounted using the Urauchi technique
